Cherry St. Home (Wheaton, IL)

I lived away from the midwest for a bit and when I came back I really appreciated the clean air and blue skies. Never again will I take these for granted!

Unfortunately Claremont is part of the inland valley smog trap. There are many, many parts out here with beautiful blue skies. Even my ugly little city (which I've sarcastically nicknamed "Three Square Miles of Paradise") can boast beautiful blue skies. But I could definitely go for more wide open spaces.

I think it's a matter of mechanics: rain + wind - obstruction (i.e. mountains) - car culture = better sky.

For these reasons, Wisconsin has some beautiful sky. I'm going there this weekend, I'll be sure to snap photos.
