The Capital of Cheese

'Forward' (Madison, Wisconsin)

I had a wonderful time in Wisconsin. It was my first time in Madison and despite spraining my ankle, I enjoyed everything I saw there. Great architecture, warm people, and several fun and cheap things to do. Oh, and the food was great.

So happy you visited. I thought I'd swing on by and drop in to your blog. I LOVE cheese and would enjoy visiting the Wisconsin. Did you buy a "cheese hat"?

I couldn't bring myself to buy a cheese hat as this may be taken to be allegiance to the Packers.

Long live the Chicago Bears!

*Cough... sputter...* The Bears?!?!?! You didnt speak such insolence in Madison did you? :)

Glad you had a nice time up here behind the "Cheddar curtain".

Oh no man, I was careful to keep my Bears/Ditka adoration undercover.

Though I must say, during the road trip I saw Wisconsin plates with Bears frames, and Illinois plates with Packers frames. Must be transplants.

Hi Monique. Thank you for stopping by my blog.

I visited Madison many, many years ago when my then husband was applying for a job at the University of Wisconsin. I was so impressed with the city and with the university. Of all the places we visited on our round of job interviews, it was the only one where they'd taken the trouble to find out what I did for a living ahead of time and had organized someone to take me around and give me some information on the local job market. I think I was more disappointed than P. when he didn't get that job!
